Dumpakht I <3 You

So after I heard Banjara had this deliciousness akin to a curry chicken (or lamb or shrimp or veggie) pot pie, I had to give it a shot.

Boy was I not disappointed.

The whole thing is covered in puffy nan bread and baked slowly to perfection. The chicken was very tender, the sauce was flavorful and spicy without being hot. An added bonus is that it comes with rice so you don't have to worry about running out of the crust.

So good.

humongo nan-taco

I'd made a sort of taco dip on Monday and decided to take some into work for lunch on Tuesday. I needed a non-greasy starch to cut the richness so I went and got a big piece of plain nan from Grill 44 and made a humongo soft taco out of it. I garnished it with onions and cilantro soaked in lime and a bit of sour cream. The dip had refried beans, ground beef with taco seasoning+* and sharp cheddar cheese. Pardon the cameraphone pic!

*Taco seasoning+ is me adding whatever I felt like after the packet was put on the beef.
